Are the hoodies and jackets slash resistant or stab proof?
They are slash resistant - designed to protect against a blade drawn laterally across the body, which is the most common form of knife attack. They are not stab proof and will not stop a blade driven point-first with force. For stab protection, a KR1-rated body armour vest is required. Many customers combine a slash resistant hoodie with a covert stab vest for layered protection.
What cut resistance level do they carry?
All Titan Depot hoodies and jackets carry EN388 Level 2 cut resistance, independently lab-tested. Level 2 is the standard rating for slash resistant everyday clothing and provides meaningful protection against the lateral slash attacks most commonly associated with street violence and knife crime.
Which parts of the garment have protective lining?
The protective Kevlar lining covers the body and arms of the garment. The hood does not contain protective lining. Protection is focused on the torso and arm areas, which are the primary targets in a slashing attack.
Can I machine wash them?
Yes. All slash resistant hoodies and jackets are machine washable at 30 degrees on a gentle cycle. Air dry where possible and avoid high-heat tumble drying, which can degrade the Kevlar lining over time. Full care instructions are included with each garment.
