Rhino gloves are our very toughest units designed to take on the jobs that other gloves would never cope with. Used by everyone from Police to train cleaning staff who never know what they may be picking up when they collect rubbish, or evidence. As with all Bladerunner anti-slash gloves a tremendous amount of thought has gone into the manufacture of these gloves.

The gloves have been tested to EN 388: 2003 by an established UK test house and the results were impressive.

You really cannot get much better results from a wearable glove.

Manufactured from a mix of leather, Neoprene and Kevlar the gloves come with a wide Velcro wrist strap and aerated lining to help keep your hand cool. The Rhino gloves offer the ultimate hand protection and are available both with or without knuckle protection.

DUPONT KEVLAR® FACTS!

1. How strong is Kevlar?

It's strong but relatively light. The specific tensile strength (stretching or pulling strength) of both Kevlar 29 and Kevlar 49 is over eight times greater than that of steel wire. Unlike most plastics it does not melt: it's reasonably good at withstanding temperatures and decomposes only at about 450°C (850°F) - https://www.explainthatstuff.com/kevlar.html

2. What is Kevlar and what is it used for?

Kevlar has many applications, ranging from bicycle tires and racing sails to bulletproof vests, because of its high tensile strength-to-weight ratio; by this measure it is 5 times stronger than steel. It is also used to make modern drumheads that withstand high impact. Reference - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevlar

3. Who uses it?

Dupont™ Kevlar® clothing have been in circulation for over twenty years and is used by police and security professionals to give them that extra bit of safety and confidence that enables them to tackle difficult, and sometimes dangerous situations. Reference - Bladerunner.tv
