Advice for optimal comfort:
For optimum use we advise to put your bedding at the bottom. Carry heavy items like tent, stove, food etc closest to your back. While packing your clothes around these items to maximise space. The groundsheet can be placed under the flap; the tent goes under the bag if it doesn't fit inside. Always keep your waterproof jacket and fleece to hand incase there is a sudden change in weather. Utilise pockets by spreading out the small equipment you use during the day (sun cream, map, sunglasses, etc). If carrying a hydration pack (water bladder), this should be placed in its special pocket along the back.
Setting up and adjusting backpack:
For ultimate comfort we recommend first loosen all straps (shoulder straps, belt, load adjuster straps). Then put the empty bag on as normal. Fasten belt around hips (it should cover your pelvic bones) and then tighten until you are happy. Then pull straps on the shoulder straps until a snug fit around shoulders. Lastly adjust the load adjuster straps until you are comfortable. Remember that the human body can carry more on the hips, so 80% of the backpack weight should be spread out on them.
